Fishing Hot Spots Topo Maps for Michigan
All Fishing Hot Spots Maps are produced using the latest computer drafting and imaging technology for optimum accuracy and clarity. Each detailed map provides depth contours, boat ramps, structure, navigational aids and lake info such as gamefish abundance, forage base, water clarity, weedline depth and bottom composition. Maps also contain expanded GPS waypoints and an easy-to-use latitude and longitude grid. In addition, productive fishing spots are marked and numbered on L-series maps. Descriptions are provided for these specific areas, offering suggestions on how to fish them and when they are most productive. M-series map features are similar to the L-series, the major difference being limited GPS information. Each Fishing Hot Spots map is printed in full color on tear-resistant, waterproof paper. Grand Traverse Bay (Lake Michigan) Spanning 125 square miles, Grand Traverse Bay offers anglers a wide variety of species to target including lake trout, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rainbow smelt. Higgins Lake One of the most scenic lakes in Michigan, this deep, ultra-clear lake is highly-rated for brown trout, rainbow trout, lake trout and salmon. Anglers shouldn't overlook the trophy northerns that live here too! Houghton Lake The largest inland lake in Michigan, Houghton Lake boasts outstanding ice fishing for walleye and panfish. 17 to 24-inch walleye are commonly caught, with 10 lb trophies present. Houghton Lake also offers good numbers of smallmouth bass, northern pike, crappie and bluegill. Little Bay de Noc National publicity has focused on this productive bay that yields significant numbers of trophy walleye, but anglers will find excellent opportunites for smallmouth bass and northern pike. Saginaw Bay Boasting outstanding walleye fishing that's drawn lots of national attention, Saginaw Bay also supports sizeable populations of yellow perch, smallmouth bass and channel catfish. Lake St. Clair/St. Clair River (MI/ONT) This map covers Lake St. Clair which is widely recognized as one of the nation's best smallmouth and muskie fisheries. Anglers will also find outstanding fishing opportunities for walleye and yellow perch.
