All Fishing Hot Spots Maps are produced using the latest computer drafting and imaging technology for optimum accuracy and clarity. Each detailed map provides depth contours, boat ramps, structure, navigational aids and lake info such as gamefish abundance, forage base, water clarity, weedline depth and bottom composition. Maps also contain expanded GPS waypoints and an easy-to-use latitude and longitude grid. In addition, productive fishing spots are marked and numbered on L-series maps. Descriptions are provided for these specific areas, offering suggestions on how to fish them and when they are most productive. Stocked hybrid striped bass are abundant, and black crappie, white bass, channel catfish and catfish offers good numbers. Lake Sidney Lanier is known for its heathly spotted bass population, but striped bass in the 30 lb. range are also present. Good numbers of white bass, white crappie and catfish offer good opportunities. Lake Sinclair Lake Sinclair is well-known for producing excellent numbers of bass from 1-1/2 to 2 pounds. Plus, there are plenty of crappie and large catfish to keep anglers happy. Clarks Hill Lake (J. Strom Thurmond) A sprawling impoundment of the Savannah River, Clarks Hill Lake hosts healthy populations of stripers, largemouth, crappie and bream. Lake Russell Another impoundment of the Savannah River, Lake Russell is loaded with catfish and crappie. Largemouth bass are the primary target with 5-pounders being common and a good number of 8-pounders.
